Flatbrook (07/02)

The Flatbrook is fishing slow, due to the water conditions, but still has a lot of fish. The fly hatches are coming off in earnest now, with midges and small sulphurs being the most prevalent.

Fishing has been decent, although the river is a bit high and muddy. A lot of the shad are dead, but smallmouth and some smaller walleye are being caught right now. Stripers are also here, with some decent sized ones being caught. The catfishing has also been good with channel cats in the 10 lb. range being reported.
